Berlin, February 2026 The Romani Filmmakers Network (RFN) will officially launch in Berlin this February, marking a significant milestone after a year of development and collaboration across Europe. The launch brings together filmmakers, industry professionals, researchers, and cultural partners to address longstanding structural inequities and to collectively shape future pathways for Romani representation in film.
The evening will feature keynote contributions examining antigypsyism in film and the urgent need for structural change within the industry, followed by a collaborative fishbowl discussion focused on future models of cooperation. The event will conclude with a celebration and networking reception.
Founded to advocate for equity and inclusion within the international film industry, the RFN seeks to push for systemic change, expand access to resources and opportunities, and empower Romani filmmakers across Europe.
