Knowledge transfer

An integral part of our work is the transfer of the knowledge generated at the Antigypsyism Research Center to the public, civil society, academia and the media.

The RCA regularly presents its research topics in the context of (online) lectures both in the academic field and in civil society, for example in the context of (prevention) work that is critical of racism or educational policy. We organise conferences, lecture series, film series and book presentations on the topic. Publications such as our series are not only aimed at a specialist audience, but also at multipliers in the education sector, media professionals or interested parties from civil society. As experts, our staff are available to various media. RCA researchers also offer courses at the Department of History every semester. Other important elements of the social transfer of our research findings include advising external projects and participating in specialised committees of memorial sites, which play a key role in Germany's culture of remembrance. A further focus is on close cooperation with Sinti and Roma self-organisations.
