DOK Leipzig Industry Talks 2025 Panel at DOK Leipzig “Story Sovereignty? Building a Framework for Respectful Romani Representation”
- Wednesday, 29. October 2025, 13:30 - 15:00
We have partnered with DOK Leipzig as part of their Industry Talks 2025 sessions to host a panel exploring Romani self-authorship in film and media. Centering the idea of Story Sovereignty, we’ll dive into how Romani creatives are reclaiming their narratives - both on and off screen - and how we can confront the role of antigypsyism in cinema.
The event is organized by The Critical Film & Image Hub at the Research Centre on Antigypsyism (Heidelberg University) in partnership with The Romani Filmmakers Network, Patrin Films Ltd, TUKE TV and The European Institute for Arts and Culture (ERIAC).
Participants need to be accredited for DOK Leipzig. Accredited guest’s welcome.
