Educational Material

The Critical Film & Image Hub offers a growing collection of educational resources designed to foster critical media literacy and challenge antigypsyist narratives in visual culture. Developed by an interdisciplinary team at the Research Center of Antigypsyism (RCA), these materials support educators, students, and cultural practitioners in engaging with film and media through an antigypsyism-critical lens.

Our resources include:

  • Teaching guides for analyzing film and imagery in classroom settings
  • Workshops and toolkits for developing counter-narratives and inclusive media practices
  • Annotated filmographies highlighting works relevant to Sinti and Roma representation
  • Visual analysis frameworks for identifying discriminatory motifs and aesthetic patterns

These materials aim to empower users to recognize and deconstruct harmful stereotypes, promote inclusive storytelling, and contribute to a more equitable visual culture. Whether you’re working in education, media, or civil society, our tools are designed to support transformative learning and dialogue.

All resources are developed in collaboration with international experts and align with the Hub’s mission to establish quality standards for analysis and intervention in visual media.
